12 Jun Finding and Keeping in Eureka Springs
A couple who spent their honeymoon with us seven years ago came back for a visit and renewed their vows.
They chose our Eureka Springs Gazebo to repeat the words that joined them as Husband and Wife. They have been together for twenty years and they still feel as the words of the ceremony stated, “You are my one true partner in life. You are my one true love.” She wore a pretty black dress for their reunion with her long blond hair framing her lovely face for our photographs. During their small ceremony you could hear in his voice and see in his eyes that he would choose her over all others every day for all the days of his life. From the tears in her eyes it was apparent she felt the same way. No matter how much time has passed, how many years have gone by, that is just the way it should be.
Our bridal couple met over thirty years ago on a bus. They dated for a while then drifted apart. Our Groom moved from Arizona back to Prairie Grove and picked up the phone to call the girl from so many years ago and reconnect.
Perhaps there could be something still there for the two on the bus. It could be a chance worth taking for a ride into together forever. Well, some things just work our the way they should because they traveled to Eureka Springs and our little chapel with his brother who would serve as Best Man and his pretty wife as our Matron of Honor. After thirty or more years apart they were together again and making it a permanent arrangement to ride through life together. We hope it is all they want to be and that she is forever the music of his life.
